Welcome speech
Josephine Zharikova,
Mentor and Founder of English Weekend Talk Hub
My name is Zhozefina Zharikova, and I am a 16-year-old student from the Russian Federation. English has been my passion since I was a child, therefore I have spent the last eleven years of my life learning about American and British culture and history, as well as the English language.
I recognized I was interested in foreign languages as early as kindergarten, and my parents were ready to help me by bringing me to the English center. Making significant progress, I was able to join the Stankevich House, to which I believe I owe everything. The organization gave me the true meaning of English and instilled in me a strong desire to learn and work hard. I have been attending international summer schools every year since I was eight years old, where I participate in English-language programs and communicate with native speakers. At the age of twelve, I was already able to pass English at the B2 level and enrolled in the Aquinas International Academy.
I am actively engaged in my education, and I wish to assist my peers or students with similar goals in learning the language. I feel that the learning process can be carried out in a variety of ways, since there are many possibilities available to everyone. In addition to English, I learned French, Spanish, and Italian. In August, I passed B1 Prüfung in Goethe Institute and am working on enhancing my skills.
Since people are the catalyst that can bring about global change, I would like to see the world become nicer and more honest. Everyone matters, in my opinion, and should have access to high-quality. My primary goal is to encourage a love of English in individuals so that we may all speak it together.

Club rules
Advocating for mutual respect between all participants, we want to ensure that every member of our club is appreciated. In order to establish a successfully functioning mechanism, we have created the following rules.
1. Becoming a participant
1.1 All mentors of “English Weekend Talk Hub” are required to take a Google form test with 23 questions, which allows us to find out which goals a candidate is pursuing. After successful completion, a short online interview will be scheduled to verify the test results.
1.2 All participants of “English Weekend Talk Hub” are required to take a Google form test, answering 15 questions to determine their level of the English language.
Such actions help to be confident that they indeed gain new knowledge and improve their communication skills.
To become a mentor, you must have at least a B2 level of English proficiency. This ensures that a person truly comprehends the language and is able to assist other participants in learning.
2. Mutual respect
2.1 All participants are responsible for visiting the club they are enrolled in. If you are late or do not show up, please inform your mentor, showing basic respect towards the other person’s time.
2.2 All mentors are also obliged to warn participants about the cancellation or postponement of a speaking club. A mentor may ask another mentor to replace him in the working chat in case he informs us of the incident at least 3 hours before the club.
Such actions help to set up contact between all members, respecting everyone and not forgetting about the basic discipline.
3. Tolerance
3.1 All participants must use polite language and refrain from using any form of disrespectful or offensive language during discussions. Personal attacks, insults, or derogatory comments will not be tolerated.
3.2 Encourage open-mindedness by valuing diverse opinions and ideas. Participants should actively listen and consider differing viewpoints without immediate judgment.
3.3 Any form of bullying, harassment, or discriminatory behavior will result in immediate intervention and potential removal from the club.
By adhering to these guidelines, we can create a positive and enriching environment where everyone feels valued and heard.

Maryam Amirbek
Mentor
Hello everyone, my name is Maryam.
I have been teaching English for a year now. During this time, I have gained some experience that I hope will be useful to the participants.
I decided to become part of this project because I want to help people grow and share what I know. I enjoy working with people and, in general, seeing how they develop.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, learning languages, and cooking. I also occasionally practice horseback riding.
I expect that working on this project will give me the opportunity to exchange experiences with others, as well as learn something new in the field of teaching. I hope that I can help the participants not only with their learning but also in their personal development.
